New KUGI mixer: the KUGITO!

What is a Mojito?

The “Mojito” is a traditional Cuban highball. Traditionally, a Mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, sparkling water (a.k.a. soda water or seltzer), and mint. Its combination of sweetness, citrus, and herbaceous mint flavors is intended to complement the rum, and has made the mojito a popular summer drink.

How do I make a KUGITO?

With our friends from Amehoela we designed a variant to this classic drink: the KUGITO! This drink is basically the same as a regular Mojito, however the sparkling water has been replaced by KUGI, and we use slightly less sugar. This is a drink for when you feel a little naughty and can have some extra calories. Make sure to compensate by doing some extra exercise the day after! Check out the ingredients below:

  • Crush in glass/shaker before adding other ingredients:
    • 1 teaspoon of cane sugar
    • Half a lime
    • Fresh crushed mint
  • Then add:
    • 1 handful of crushed ice cubes
    • A splash of white rum (e.g. Havana Club Añejo 3 Años)
    • Top it off with KUGI Gold
